Internet Fame
So I decided to do something different today and actually actively promote my blog. It helps that the title of it is “Why I’m Not Voting for Barack Obama” but I spread it out on a major conservative forum and as of right now I have 6 times as many hits today over there as any other day. Sweet.
Still, that doesn’t bring me nearly as much joy as the 9 people per week who come to my site by searching “Prepare to meet Kali in hell.”
I am uber-excited about seeing Indiana Jones. There are usually only 2-3 movies a year that I want to see the first day/week that they come out. This year it’s Indy and the Dark Knight, easily. Since 2005 living in the new Gotham has just become that much cooler.
In approximately 43 hours and 12 minutes, I will be GRADUATED. Not that I’m counting.
ART NEWS
Thanks to the boost that graduation has provided for my motivation (gotta use this worthless-ass degree for something) I have a new deadline for finishing my book. The actual story movements and scenes should all be done by my birthday on 9-16-84. I will still have some editing to do, but the actual, original, creating work will be done. This week I moved into the 3rd act.
I cannot post anything of length but I’ll leave you with a tidbit from the most recent scene:
“The radio had answered Jimmy’s question and eased his fears. But only for a while. The dead were still there, walking along the side of the road. Whether they were a hallucination or not, the dead were still walking.”
Think Children of Men meets Sin City.
